On March 6th 2009, according to official IFR - “ISKCON Food Relief” Foundation website, the amount of meals IFR is serving per day amounts to 100,000. Regarding the scale of operations on IFR website, it is mentioned that IFR is hoping to serve 500,000 meals per day by March of 2009. It is hard to discern when was the last update of the website. Their last newsletter was published in Jun of 2005.
The first two IFR trustees are two of the appointed ISKCON Gurus, namely Gopal Krishna Goswami and Bhakti Charu Swami. They were appointed Gurus by 11 self-proclaimed Gurus who hijacked ISKCON. The third and fourth trustees, Brajahari das and Devakinandan das are faithful disciples and followers of the appointed Gurus.
They are claiming that “ISKCON Food Relief” started in 2004. This is an impeccable lie. For more details please read this page.
According to ISKCON’s Back To Godhead magazine of 1978 there is the following statement:
"Recently Jayapataka Svami, the All-India Coordinator of ISKCON Food Relief, announced that large-scale food distribution is going on steadily at five ISKCON centers—Mayapur and Haridaspur (province of West Bengal), Bhuvaneshvara and Bhadrak (province of Orissa), and Hyderabad (province of Andhra Pradesh)." - ISKCON's BTG Magazine issue #13-04, 1978
In an ISKCON book entitled Divine Nature, in a chapter A Meatless, Karma-Free Diet there is a following statement:
"In 1972, Srila Prabhupada, overcome with compassion at the sight of Bengali children picking through garbage for scraps of food, told his disciples that no one within ten miles of any ISKCON center should go hungry. In response, Srila Prabhupada's disciples organized ISKCON Food Relief, starting with a large prasadam-distribution program at the ISKCON center in Mayapur, West Bengal...ISKCON Food Relief is therefore only one part of ISKCON's extensive effort to let everyone experience the benefits of prasädam." - Divine Nature, publisher Bhaktivedanta Book Trust International (April 1995)
"Jayapataka Svami was in Mayapur at the time Srila Prabhupada decided to institute the ISKCON Food Relief program. So that's when we started ISKCON Food Relief. According to the above statements and information, IFR or ISKCON Food Relief as a Foundation and/or a Corporation has been in existence for about 37 years.
Why are ISKCON Gurus saying IFR started in 2004 only 5 years ago? What were they doing for 32 years? Were they busy preaching “Food For Death” philosophy and how offensive it is to feed the poor? Where they busy feeding themselves, the elite? Where they busy flying all over the world laying to the public to pocket money in the name of feeding the poor in India and Africa? Billions of dollars stolen in the name of feeding the poor by them and their henchmen. And now all of a sudden, a month ago, they are feeding 500,000 meals per day to the poor? What brought to such a nice change? Speaking of the ways of the Gurus’ life-style, just interest alone their money can make in the banks can feed millions of people a day. So, what is actually happening? Is this a new show they are putting on to make ‘a killer’ via tax exempt donations from ‘super rich’ donors!? Is this how everyone gets benefited!? The Gurus, the Rich and the few Poor.
[NOTE: Akshaya Patra devotees are very happy to see that ISKCON Gurus and their followers are finally coming to their senses (if so). If they seriously plan to scale and maintain their ‘food relief ’ program year after year then ISKCON Gurus and their followers will have to be super accountable, transparent and hard working in the eyes of the public and the government. In other words No More Guru Business for them.]
Did ISKCON Gurus postponed, for the time being (30+years), ISKCON Food Relief program due to ‘financial’ crisis? If so, who created such crisis?

Did the Gurus and their loyal henchmen hijack IFR to collect money from people in USA and Europe for their secret ‘Swiss’ Bank accounts and real estate ventures in the name of feeding the poor. What is the cause that they managed to get “some liability at Mayapura.” and bad press as well?
Considering the fact how much money, resources and followers these ISKCON Gurus/“Trustees” have amassed, and how much worship and loyalty they receive on the level of God, IFR should have fed millions of people per day 3 decades ago. What went wrong?
Why IFR Trustees/ISKCON Gurus have to solicit Government of India to get subsidies for their midday meal programs if they have plenty of untaxed money collected from tax-exempt religious donations of big donors and ISKCON congregation?

"Nigeria—ISKCON International Food Relief here recently fed an estimated 20,000 people from Nigeria and Ghana. Two hundred devotees from ISKCON centers in these two countries gathered to distribute the food." - ISKCON's BTG Magazine issue #21-09, 1986
[NOTE: From 1966 till 1986, in 20 years: 150 million + 7 million = 157 million plates of food served by all of ISKCON. Lets round it up to 170 million.]
According to the following BTG article of 1992:
"At ISKCON’s forty-one farming communities around the world, devotees are giving loving care to cows, bulls, and calves. [NOTE: According to the above statistics, it seems it took 20 years to distribute 170 million plates of food by all of ISKCON in 1986.
But then it seems it took all of ISKCON 25 years to distribute over 900 million plates of food by 1992.
In only 6 years period, from 1986 to 1992, 730 million plates of food have been distributed by all of ISKCON.
1980’s and 1990’s were the most sensational years for hijacked ISKCON when Gurus/GBCs mafia and their henchmen killed a lots of people as well as tortured, starved and sodomize couple of thousand of Krishna’s children. These were the years when millions of dollars were spent in criminal prosecutions of leading ISKCON members. Bribery and cover ups. These were the years of ISKCON Gurus and their henchmen being busy going to jail. Tones of money being spent on bail outs. As well as the years when ISKCON Gurus were buying luxurious mansions, golden drinking cups, golden bathroom sinks, golden writing pans, a lots of drugs, LSD, a lots of guns, drinking and fornication, and smilingly discouraged ISKCON congregation from feeding the poor free meals in favor of selling the meals for the purpose of buying Riviera vacation homes to preach to the rich.
Quite an accomplishment in only 6 years! To do all the above while at the same time feeding 730 million plates of food to the needy!
Who does accounting for ISKCON Gurus’ “mass” food distribution? Is it KPNG?
The very same ISKCON Gurus who were part of the whole mess and cover up of 80’s and 90’s are now Trustees for ISKCON Food Relief!

IFR re-started its operations in 2004, or 32 years later, with the help of Akshaya Patra devotees who taught them how to build kitchens and manage things. IFRF copied everything from Akshaya Patra even the very purpose statement or the mission. “Imitation is the most serious form of flattery.”
Unconditionally Akshaya Patra wants to extend its hand and support to everyone who wants to help those in need by generous mass distribution of free food.
Although there is an empy ‘gratitude’ to Madhu Pandit das, the chairman of Akshaya Patra, on IFRF website, still from behind the scenes IFR Trustees/ISKCON Gurus are viciously attacking him, demonizing him and trying to put him in jail by fabricating criminal cases against him. They made, sponsored and sanctioned several websites dedicated just in defaming and slandering Madhu Pandit das. These websites are freely circulating on internet forums with their full approval. That much for their gratitude!?
The whole complex fiasco started back in 1998 when Madhu Pandit das (then a disciple of Jayapataka Swami) found out about the unimaginable criminal history of the ISKCON Gurus and their’ hiding and covering it for all these years. He and devotees of ISKCON Bangalore were horrified. It was a paradigm shift that came into their lives. It was a trauma. In March of 1999, Madhu Pandit started a court case as a plaintiff to defend Bangalore Temple from ISKCON Gurus Mafia and their hijacked and controlled institutions, trusts and organizations. |
